Like 2 months ago, when i took a flight home back to trier my plane just got an delay by 3 hours and at that weekend there was a nice small concert in Trier by some nice guys, who formed into the loveliest punk band ever, the Love Academy. I think they gonne make it to the top ten next year, maybe. Not really but they sound nice. Back to type, the plane got a delay and i got pens and paper so i started to draw a nameplate for my parents house. My mom just asked me like 2 years ago and it’s a shame that i didn’t finished until now. I draw Timplan, our family name, really often at this day and in the end there was something like on that first picture. A very condensed, high contrast, Bodonilike but quiet modern and playfull lettering.

I really liked that type and started to draw more characters and digitize the first run. It’s still not complete, like 15 other typeface in my folders, but i wanted to show this and give some love to the Love Academy. Here it comes, with 80’s rainbow colors and fancy dotted lines. Awesome.
